Nomadic journey

Nomadic Journey….

People after reading this post might feel self is a lunatic barbarian. People , I expect this statement. I’m one.

Let’s rewind the time machine, getting into nostalgic mode remembering the best experience you had, I have this travelogue to put forth. This in any case is not a travelogue. This is part of  search of Realm called life episodic series. You can see other experiences in my previous posts , trip to Gaumukh/Tapovan.

People before jamming comments section by questions what made you to do this, the answer is simple. Want to live a life I want.

Time : some time in 2008 mid. Place : Hyderabad.

People Involved : Myself and my Schoolmate/College mate/Ex-employer Colleague/my dear friend who quit this industry just to travel.

Friday evening , we reached our apartment (we stay in single apartment, not in same house) post dinner, discussing the days official work and passing around comments, he suddenly said, how about a nomadic journey. Nomadic means travelling journey conspires to trip, what he indented to say, I quizzed. He said, Lets go to a place which we will never decide of going, catch the firsts of firsts and extend our trip. I said fine.

We packed our Rucksacks, with couple of changeable yet lightweight clothes, necessary amenities, wallet carrying 1k Cash, Debit card , Pan card , CC and Office ID card. Said Bye to respective roomies and left. Our plan was to spend as less we can, travel as cheap as we can, eat as less as we can, never book any tickets, take pics, talk to as much people we can.   One more point was decided , no travelling south.

We went to secunderabad railway station asked the ticket counter fellow what is next train heading north and when it is , he said last train to north just left to Jaipur, then my quizzing mind asked the fellow, if we can catch next train to Warangal, he said the train shall start, we took two unreserved tickets to Warangal, ran and caught the speeding train. Sat down near the walk way, talking about movies, places etc.

Then we started playing games, Snake in his 1108, one game after the other with one rupee bet. My self and him , are known for one rupee bet for anything and everything, we even play Playing Cards throughout night for one rupee bet, I have large collection of one rupee so does he.

We reached Warangal and in the ticket counter, spared 1k note to book two unreserved ticket to where ever next train goes. The train was grand trunk and we took ticket to Delhi. Myself lived in Delhi, both of us roamed Delhi like our walkway to office, decided to get down at Jhansi.
The fellow in counter asked he shall book a berth which is available , we laughed at him and said give us unreserved ticket.

The experience of travelling to Jhansi from Waranagal was classic. A whole day, meeting lot of people, teaching a boy basic Maths, talking to fellow about Software engineering, basic man to man explanation of our day to day life… explaining to a women for a question she asked, bout life of a typical Chennai women, playing trump cards(WWE CARDS), My First fag (Bidi) in a running train (don’t jump on me for illegality, I want to experience) , eating Poori and chenna (sundal) in a take away in platform in Balarshah, Eating oranges in Nagpur, bought a Hindu paper, read it from word to end, man I had world of time and patience , (Re lived a place where I did my schooling KV KAMPTEE NAGPUR).

One more experience was running into chained compartments from front to lost, seeing all kinds of passengers , When the compartment was closed , catch the next coach in next stop. People , I must admit, color of Life and India are Vast, you have to lose your comfort level to experience this. When I saw a Gal in her teens, with GunGhat, foot boarding and crying, I could imagine only one thing, while in travel you can see many faces of joy and sorrow, one much understand that same thing happens in your life and one has to adjust by this fact.

Though ticket was bought till Delhi, we never wanted to reach Delhi, we got down in Jhansi, asking ourselves what is in store for us. My friend asked me how about Gorakpur and Nepal, I said to him, our plan was to un plan if our fate takes us there , we shall.

The Same episode of Ticket counter repeated and we landed up in a train to Jaipur. This time in the compartment , we noticed an extended Rajasthani family, so accommodating . We after a huge nap, raised head  in Jaipur station.

The rest is how we enjoyed the rest of life of 3 days in Rajasthan .

We were back to Hyderabad in weeks’ time.

All these 9 days, we both enjoyed in streets of India, met numerous people, understood cultures, beaten once,  talking and understood ourselves, our friendship grew longer and stronger post this trip. People, Don’t be in your comfort zone, I learnt it, you know it. Explore this incredible life in Incredible India.

PS: Guys , at least once in lifetime plan a unplanned trip.
PS1: My experience made a huge stamp , proving, life is to be lived. Don’t complain of anything and everything.

Don’t say ever I’m getting bored. Life of 24 hrs a day is never enough.
